Two Weekends with Family

Where has the time gone??? Two weekends have flown by, and we are behind on our updating. So, two weeks ago, we headed into town and had the glorious opportunity of meeting up with Uncle Tom and cousin Laura! We took a pleasant stroll around tow, in the car however and pretty much solved the world's problems in those ten minutes! It was great to see our family and we only wished we could have spent more time with you two!

After our quick visit, we drove up to the Capitol hill area and walked through Eastern Market. Lily loved looking at all of the meats, cheeses, flowers, cookies, etc. etc. After a little walk around the neighborhood, we stopped for some treats at Marvelous Market and then headed home! It was a nice little weekend, and we loved seeing Tom and Laura!

Following our weekend, we received some sad news from Ryan's family that our sweet Grandma Roberts had passed away. She was 93 years old and we will miss her greatly. Ryan and I had many fun memories visiting her when we all lived in downtown SLC. So, thanks to our wonderful family, we were able to visit Utah for the weekend to attend her funeral. It was wonderful to see everyone and Lily loved to be with so many who love her. The funeral service was so beautiful and we were able to drive up to Smithfield Utah near Logan where Grandma was born. She was buried there on a snowy Saturday. Lily was such a trooper and Ryan and I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family, and an incredible little baby!
After a wonderful visit with our amazing family Lily got her first piano lesson from Grandma Suzi. Thank you Grandma! We miss you all already and miss those beautiful mountains! Until next week, be well everyone!

Hey! Nice blog.

It was so fun seeing you guys too. Sorry about the lame get together. Tom's idea, obviously. If it were up to me we would have hung out much longer. If it were up to me I would have stayed another two or three days! I love it there. Seriously, I need to find a way to move out there. I didn't want to come back.

You can check out my D.C. Chronicles on my blog if you want.

Sorry to hear about Ryan's grandmother. It's always hard to lose someone like that, especially as we get older I feel like my past and childhood slips away the more relatives I lose.

Long comment. Sorry. Love you all!

I freaked out for a second there...not registering that Ryan has a grandma here too..
Sad for you guys, sounds like she lived a full life!

I wish we could come visit. Jack needs friends!

Let me know when you come back in town- if ever... :)
