The Economy is looking grim....but Lily makes us forget all of that!

After a long break from blogging, I'm back in the game. So, today we heard that the bailout plan was rejected, and basically our economy is falling apart all around us. I am not much of an economist at all, but I have tried to pay attention to all the news since I am an adult these days :) As the world is filled with worry, angst, confusion, contention, etc. I am reminded that I have a little daughter who needs me to live in the moment with her. She is oblivious to all that is going on, and I envy her. The innocence and joy that exudes from her beautiful smile is such a reminder to me that someone else is in charge. I am incredibly blessed to have my little Lily to keep me having the right perspective on life. Keep calm and carry on, right Liz? I'd like to add to that two other words, Keep calm, carry on, love Lily. Enjoy this perspective on life!

Grandma Suzi here...you are right on the money, speaking of Wall Street and the crash and congress being wimpy on moving forward, and all the rest of us wondering what in the #*x+/! is going on...is there no leadership in Washington? Lily makes the most sense of all, taking in all of the delights around her (and there are always delights in this life) Let's concentrate on those, instead of the disasters, (which will come to us all sometime)
Amy, I love you and I love your words about Lily and life. Thank you....Grandma Suzi

Keep calm and carry on, and love your kids is right! I'm so glad you finally posted something! I'm also sorry I missed your call the other day and haven't called you back! I miss you and can't believe how BIG Lily is getting! Dad had so much fun with you guys. Any sign of the banana? Wasn't it about this time of year? Too bad they don't make a banana costume in Lily's size! Maybe she could be a giant spider instead! I'm glad you like your dish towel. I thought it would look so cute in your kitchen. I love you!

Ames,
Mom and Dad told us about Ryan and his illness. Yuck! Is he doing better? We hope that he is okay. It's not fun to have anyone sick at your house. We love you, Lily and Ryan and love seeing your new posts! Thanks for your prayers and concern for little Gracie. She is doing very well! We just have 5 more days to go on our recovery and we should be ready to go outside again! YIPEE!! Love you.

It's so true Aim. Everything will be fine. Children are so good to remind us of what matters most aren't they? What would we do without them?
