Wow! Two posts in two days! Since we had a little holiday, Columbus Day and Ryan was off, we took a day trip up to Lancaster, PA. We stopped in a little town called Intercourse, yes people, that is the name. This is large Amish and Mennonite community and you really do see them in their horses and buggies, and plowing their fields. It was so interesting to see this simple way of life. We ate lunch at a traditional Amish restaurant and it was quite yummy! You should all try Shoo Fly Pie sometime. After lunch we headed to Strasburg to the old train station. If you ever have watched "Jon & Kate Plus 8," they live in this area and also went to this train station - that's my little claim to fame with this story! Anyway, we went on a wonderful train ride to see the countryside, and experience the ride on an original steam engine train. We didn't take any pictures of the Amish people out of respect to them.

Ugh. There is NOTHING worse than when your kid throws up in the car... and then having to drive home with the smell. Yum.
Sorry about the sickness. I love the verdant green fields in your photos! Perhaps to match other green things...
Glad to see you guys are having fun and that they're letting Ryan off a little.
Aahh, the puking in the car! What a joy. You are truly initiated into the parenthood club now. I'm sorry for you and Lily. It's no fun throwing up all over yourself, in a moving vehicle, far away from home. So sorry! Hope she is feeling better.
We too have been to Intercourse Pennsylvania. Cute little place made me want to buy many hand made things, but then I saw how expensive everything was! Oh, and I love your hair, did you just get it cut? I can't decide what to do with mine, it's at that in between stage.
I have to say...Avery has yet to puke in the car. Knock on wood. Am I not a parent? hah!
